Setting up Automated Messages

Automated messages are a great way to stay connected with fans without having to send each message manually. You can create messages that are sent automatically when a fan takes certain actions, like subscribing, tipping, or following.

Head to your Automated Messages in the Creator Dashboard and select "Create New Automated Message!

What Can You Do with Automated Messages?

With automated messages, you will:

  1. Choose a trigger:

    • New follower: sent whenever someone follows

    • New subscriber, Gift link subscriber, or Subscription renewal: for any of these, you can have one message for all subscription tiers, or customize the message for a specific tier.

    • New Tip: for tips, you can set a keyword or amount. Using these together, you can create a menu of content users can tip for!

    • Disabled: use this to temporarily turn off an automation without deleting it. You can easily switch the trigger again when you're ready

  2. Set a delay (in seconds) before the message is sent

  3. Add a cooldown period to avoid sending the same message repeatedly to the same person

  4. Apply custom settings like targeting specific subscription tiers or tip amounts

  5. Send a message. To customize your message content, just click Edit when creating or updating an automation. This can include any or all of these options:

    • The message text

    • Attached media

    • Locked text

    • Voice notes

  6. When everything’s set, click Create!

Finding the Messages

Automated messages won’t open a new DM thread in your inbox, helping you avoid clutter. To see if a message was sent, you can:

  • Search their display name directly in your inbox or

  • Go to the fan’s profile and click the envelope icon
