Difference Between Following and Subscribing

Updated yesterday

Think of following as staying in the loop for free, and subscribing as unlocking the full experience.

Following

  • Always free: no cost, no commitment.

  • See posts, previews, and updates that creators choose to share with followers.

  • Get notified when a creator goes live or posts follower-only updates.

  • Unfollow anytime with just a click.

⚠️ Note: Some creators only allow followers with a verified payment method. Adding one doesn’t mean you have to buy anything; it just unlocks the ability to follow.

Subscribing

  • Paid access (usually monthly) to exclusive content like private photos, videos, or behind-the-scenes updates.

  • Subscribing automatically makes you a follower too, so you get the best of both worlds.

  • Each creator sets their own perks and pricing, so check out what’s on offer!

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you switch off auto-renew.

💡 Tip: Creators often run limited-time promos or discounts. Keep an eye out to unlock extra value!
