The basics of Posting!

Updated this week

Posting content is a great way to connect with your fans and attract new ones. There are many ways to customize your posts, so let's walk through your options to post on Fansly!

How to Post

Only creators can post. Check out this article for the steps on how to apply to become a creator! 🤩

To start, locate the post composer. On a desktop, this is at the top of your homepage. On mobile, tap the + icon at the bottom of the screen.

Composer Options

Inside the post composer, you have several options. Here’s what you can do!

  1. Caption: Click where it says “Type a message…” to add text that will appear at the top of your post.

  2. Post to FYP: Check this box if you’d like your post to be promoted on the For You Page, our content discovery browser.

  3. Pin to Walls: Pins the post to the top of selected wall albums—useful for introductory content, special events, or tip menus. You can pin up to 25 posts. If you exceed that number, the oldest pins will automatically be unpinned.

  4. Post to Walls: Organized content helps fans find what they love faster! Click the checkbox to select or edit wall albums.

  5. Lock Replies: Control who can reply to your post.

  6. Add Media: Add photos or videos straight from your vault or upload them directly. Got something cool to share? This is your go-to! We cover this in more depth down below.

  7. Schedule Post: Busy? No problem. Plan your posts ahead of time and set them to go live whenever you want.

  8. Post Expiration: Perfect for limited-time offers or special events. Set your post to expire whenever you decide.

  9. Tip Goal: Set a tip goal to fund your next masterpiece or celebrate something awesome. This can be a standalone goal or one shared across multiple posts.

  10. Poll: Ask your fans the important questions: “Pizza or tacos?” or “What should I post next?” This will keep them engaged and coming back for more!

  11. Lock Text: Share exclusive content behind a paywall so your fans can unlock your premium posts.

  12. Record Audio: Create and attach an audio clip to your post with its own permissions.

Once you're happy with your setup, click Post.

Adding Media

To add media to your post, follow these five steps:

  1. Pick the Source

  2. Select Media

  3. Set Previews (if needed)

You can:

  • Combine requirements (e.g., subscriber + $5)

  • Create options (e.g., $30 for non-subscribers)

This is a great way to reward your loyal fans and attract new ones!
