1️⃣ Discoverability Tools

Tags & Hashtags

Tags and hashtags are powerful tools for helping fans discover your content, whether they’re browsing search results or exploring trending topics. The right tags can make all the difference!

Profile Tags

These are private labels you assign to your profile to help the algorithm understand what kind of content you create. You can set these from Tags on your profile.

Why use them:

Improved discoverability: Fansly uses your tags to match you with users who enjoy similar content.
Better suggestions: Tags help place you in users' Suggestions tabs based on their activity and preferences.

Example: Tagging yourself as “cosplayer” or “redhead” increases your visibility when users search for those terms.

Hashtags

Hashtags are public and appear in your post captions. They help users find content across the platform.

Why they matter:

Appear in hashtag searches and on relevant pages.
Let fans search your profile for specific types of posts.

💡Pro tip: Combine niche and trending hashtags to maximize your reach and connect with your target audience.

"Made For You" – The FYP

The For You Page (FYP) is a curated slideshow of posts from creators across the platform, not just those a user already follows. It uses a behavior-based algorithm to recommend content we know they'll adore! 😍

Not all content appears on the FYP. To appear on the FYP, your content must be opted in.

Here's how:

Check the Post to FYP box when creating your post.
Include a free preview for any locked media you want shown.

Design your previews to spark curiosity and encourage users to click through and engage.

Want to get the most from the FYP?

Try these strategies:

Keep it short and sharp: Short, high-quality videos tend to perform better than longer clips or static images.
Write standout captions: Use attention-grabbing captions that invite interaction.
Stay consistent: Share content regularly to maximize exposure without overwhelming your audience. Balance is key!

Suggestions Tab

The Suggestions tab automatically includes all creators without any extra steps. The algorithm uses your tags and content type to match you with users who have yet to discover you.

⚠️ Please note: You may not see your own profile. Each user's suggestions are tailored based on the content they interact with. As a creator, your browsing habits may not reflect typical fan behavior. If you're seeing the same creators repeatedly, try exploring content more actively as a fan to refresh your feed.

Connections

Did you know you can boost your discoverability on Fansly by linking your other social media accounts? Head over to Connections in Settings to securely connect your Twitch and Twitter accounts to your Fansly profile.

This feature is completely private.
We will never post on your connected platforms or edit your information without your permission.

Why it helps:

If someone who follows you on Twitch or Twitter connects their account or signs in with one of those, your profile may be recommended to them.
