Below is an overview of key information every Fansly creator should know:


Required Tax Forms

U.S.-Based Creators

  • Submit a W-9 Form to receive payouts on Fansly.

  • The W-9 is required by the IRS for freelancers and independent contractors.

  • Fansly is legally required to report all creators earning more than $20,000 annually in most states.

  • Submitting your tax documentation ensures compliance with IRS reporting requirements.

Non-U.S.-Based Creators

  • Submit one of the following forms, depending on your situation:

    • W-8BEN: For non-U.S. creators filing as individuals.

    • W-8BEN-E: For non-U.S. creators filing as a private business or LLC.

    • DAC7 Form: Required for all EU-based creators.


Where to Submit Your Forms

Submitting a W-9 Form

You can submit your W-9 Form directly on Fansly:

  1. Go to your Creator Dashboard.

  2. Expand the list by clicking More and select Tax Documentation.

  3. Choose United States of America (the) as your country.

  4. Complete and submit the form.

Submitting a W-8BEN-E Form

Email your completed W-8BEN-E Form to [email protected].
Our team will review your submission and confirm whether any changes are needed.

Submitting a W-8BEN Form

Submit your W-8BEN Form directly on Fansly:

  1. Go to your Creator Dashboard.

  2. Expand the list by clicking More and select Tax Documentation.

  3. Choose your EU Member State as the country.

Submitting a DAC7 Form

Submit your DAC7 Form the same way:

  1. Go to your Creator Dashboard.

  2. Expand the list by clicking More and select Tax Documentation.

  3. Choose your EU Member State.

About Form 1099-NEC

  • Fansly creators earning more than $600 in annual revenue will receive a Form 1099-NEC.

  • This form reports total gross earnings through payment card and third-party network transactions.

  • Forms are issued electronically each year.

If you earned more than $600 in 2025 and have not received your 1099-NEC after January 31, contact [email protected] for assistance.


Filing Your Taxes

Even if you earned a small amount, you must still report your income.

  • Report all Fansly earnings to the appropriate tax authorities.

  • Maintain your own records for tax reporting purposes, as Fansly does not store total annual earnings for creators.


Write-Offs and Deductions

You can deduct ordinary and necessary business expenses related to your content creation. Examples include:

  • Props, costumes, and equipment used for production

  • Internet and phone bills (proportionally used for business)

  • Editing software or subscriptions
