OECD Model Reporting Rules for Platforms

Updated today

In your Creator Dashboard, go to "Tax Documentation" to access all of your tax documentation and submit the tax documents that Fansly needs.

There are different requirements depending on where you live. Below are all of the countries that utilize the OECD Model Reporting and how you can complete the forms needed!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email [email protected]. While we are unable to provide legal advice, we are happy to help with general questions!

EU (DAC7):

What is a DAC7?

DAC7 is a new addition to Directive 2011/16/EU, which focuses on administrative cooperation in taxation. It brings in new reporting requirements for Digital Platform Operators who make their platforms available to Reportable Sellers (Fansly Creators).

How To:

When in the Tax Documentation section, you will be given the option to choose your country, "EU Member State", as shown in the screenshot below:

Once you select your country, a drop-down menu with two options will appear. Select the DAC7 option.

Enter your information to the best of your ability, tick the box to confirm accuracy, and submit your form.

⚠️ Please note: If you do not tick the box, you will not be able to submit the DAC7 Form.

Canada:

Why?

As a platform operating in Canada or facilitating transactions involving Canadian residents, we are required to collect information from you per the OECD's DPI (digital platform operators) regulations of the Income Tax Act for our reporting requirements with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

How To:

When in the Tax Documentation section, you will be given the option to choose your country, "Canada", as shown in the screenshot below:

Enter your information to the best of your ability, tick the box to confirm accuracy, and submit your form.

FAQs:

I don't live in the EU/Canada. Why am I asked to fill out these forms?

If you no longer reside within the EU or Canada, we must update our internal records and those of our partners. If that is the case, please email us at [email protected].

I'm not sure I know how to fill out the form. What should I do?

If you need help filling out the form, we recommend that you contact a local tax advisor for assistance. Fansly Support is unable to give tax or legal advice, and we recommend consulting a professional.
