Setting Up Broadcasting Software

Updated over a week ago

Once you’ve downloaded your preferred broadcasting software (Fansly recommends OBS Studio), the next step is to connect it to Fansly’s streaming servers.

For Desktop Users (Using OBS Studio)

  1. Open OBS Studio and navigate to Settings → Stream.

  2. Select Custom as your streaming service.

  3. Enter your Stream Server and Stream Key, both of which are available in your Live Streaming Dashboard.

💡 Pro Tip: Always keep your stream key private to protect your account and maintain stream security.

For Mobile Users

To stream from a mobile device, use an app that supports RTMP ingest. This technology allows your mobile app to connect directly to Fansly servers.

Common RTMP Ingest Apps

  • Streamlabs Mobile

  • Larix Broadcaster

  • Prism Live Studio

Why Connect Your Software to Fansly

  • Flexibility: Use your preferred broadcasting software, desktop or mobile, for full control over your stream.

  • Enhanced Engagement: Fansly’s built-in features, such as chat rooms and stream goals, make it easy to interact with your audience in real-time.

  • Secure Streaming: RTMP technology and private stream keys ensure your stream remains secure and viewable only by your selected audience.

💡 Pro Tip

Before streaming, verify your stream key and permissions in your Fansly Streaming Settings to prevent setup errors or interruptions.
